Year End Review

The last time we went inside the numbers, A Doctor’s Kitchen had been visited by people from 33 countries.  Over the past month, that number has almost tripled to 91! My husband thought they were probably American ex-pats, but when I looked more deeply at the data, I noticed that visitors had viewed the site in 49 languages!! Here’s the breakdown of visits by country:

The countries from which 10 or fewer visits originated include: Greece, Switzerland, Denmark, United Arab Emirates, Argentina, South Africa, Kuwait, Ukraine, Costa Rica, Iceland, Colombia, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, Chile, Estonia, Croatia, Czech Republic, Panama, Puerto Rico, Vietnam, Macedonia, Peru, El Salvador, Qatar, Mongolia, NIcaragua, Hungary, Egypt, Belize, Myanmar (Burma), Moldova, Palestinian Territories, Pakistan, Barbados, Uganda, Ethiopia, Lebanon, Tunisia, Kenya, Honduras, Dominican Republic, Bahrain, Netherlands Antilles, Venezuela, Cayman Islands, Iran, Turks and Caicos Islands, Malta, Nepal, Latvia, Uruguay, and Luxembourg.

Some of these visits undoubtedly are due to the appearance of some of this site’s photos on popular food blogs such as Foodbuzz.com, Tastespotting.com and Foodgawker.com. In fact, 3 photos have made the Foodbuzz Top 9 (Fennel with Garlic and Parsley, Wholier-than-thou Hot Cereal, and Monica Bhide’s Indian-Style Chili). But I like to think that most of them reflect a global interest in healthy cooking.  It’s a happy thought, anyway, as we head into a new year and a new decade.
